Back in July 2005, when I joined Bill Henderson as part of our Haiti For Jesus outreach team, I had no idea how our time of frontline ministry to the beautiful people of Haiti would change my life forever. Two men had been killed on the TBN compound in Haiti and we went there to lift up Jesus and turn back the satanic tide that had risen up against the work of God.
When we arrived in Port-au-Prince, our team fasted, prayed and took communion for three days. We were told how the Haitian government passed a law declaring voodoo as the official religion of Haiti. We were shown the shotgun blasts in the compound door where the men had been killed.

Following three days of fasting, prayer and communion, we took rented wood from the scaffolding used to build a new hospital, built an 8 foot wooden cross and began to take Jesus to the streets. As I played my guitar and we sang and preached and called multitudes to Christ, we were flanked on each side by armed guards with pump shotguns and always in the vicinity of the UN Peacekeepers sitting high in the turrets of their military tanks.
Hundreds upon hundreds of Haitian people accepted our call to make Jesus Lord, right out in the streets where the UN military was searching cars for kidnapped victims and returning machine gun fire from hostile Haitian drug lords and gangs.

They made us move our street preaching rally over just a few feet one day because the Captain told us, "We can't have any Americans killed down here... so move over just a little out of the direct line of fire." We know it wasn't the armed guards or tanks that kept us safe while in the devil's line of fire, but the warring angels the Lord had encamped round about us. We know He had us covered under the shadow of the Almighty! The gang leaders and drug lords told the people from the church, "Every time we try to kill the white men from America, they become invisible." What a mighty God we serve.

Please pray for a young man we met in Haiti who became our interpreter preaching on the streets of Port-au-Prince. His name is Robby and God lit a fire in him. Our team prayed over Robby, anointed him with oil and took turns washing his feet. The Lord had me tell Robby he was called to be the David Wilkerson of Haiti. Robby emailed me some months after my return to America and said, "Brother Bobby... The fire is increasing in my heart. I remember our smile doing this ministry in Haiti; walking under God's favor encouraging my people about: Haiti, Haiti... JESUS SAVES." Robby continued, "I thank you for sharing this song, your music and even your life to encourage my people about Jesus."

I have emailed Robby since the earthquake last week but have not heard back. I called his phone number and it is no service. Please pray for Robby and believe with me that he is alive and well, ready to preach Jesus to his people in Haiti.
NOTE: I will be joining Bill Henderson and our team from Indonesia earthquake relief to take Jesus to the streets of Port-au-Prince Haiti again soon. We are praying and planning, asking God for the strategy He has in mind, I know we will go soon.
